Arizcuren Bodegas y viñedos

Arizcuren is a project based on the vineyard that Javier Arizcuren´s family grow on the slopes of the Sierra de Yerga ‐Rioja, Spain, since at least the end of the nineteenth century. They are old vineyards, between 30 and 120 years old, planted between 530 and 800 meters high with the varieties that were traditionally grown in the Sierra de Yerga; Garnacha, Mazuelo ‐AKA Carignan‐ and Viura mainly, but also missing ones such as Calagraño, Tinta Velasco and Miguel de Arco.
Our work is based on respect. Respect for history and tradition, working with the varieties that built the history of Rioja. Respect for our present, nature, landscape, understanding our vineyards as a small part of a whole in which they must be inserted harmoniously, taking care of them with exclusively organic farming techniques. Respect for our future, building a wine heritage with its own recognizable identity that is inserted in the diversity of Rioja with a vocation to continue to grow in national and international prestige and recognition. We export to countries such us UK, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany and US.
With these ingredients we produce our wines, small in number of bottles, but large in the prestige collected from the specialized press ‐ The Wine Advocate, Suckling, Decanter, Atkin‐ and which can be found in the wine list of more than 30 Michelin‐ starred restaurants from different countries of the world.
