Organization that groups around one hundred cooperatives in Galicia, a region in the Northwest of the Iberian Peninsula. Since 1988, it has defended and represented cooperatives in the public and private spheres where their interests are settled. AGACA acts as an association and a space for dialogue and finding synergies for the improvement and advancement in production, distribution and marketing of cooperative products and services.

Castilla – La Mancha Agro-Food Cooperatives

Castilla-La Mancha Agro-food Cooperatives is the organization that represents, defends and promotes the Castilian-La Mancha agri-food cooperatives.
It promotes, supports and represents agricultural cooperatives from the Castilla – La Mancha region, accompanying them in their transition towards a competitive model, leading the process of change, participating as an active economic agent, ensuring their presence in all areas related to agri-food activity and providing all the services that they demand to compete nationally and internationally.

Confederation of Cooperatives of the Basque Country — KONFEKOOP

The Confederation of Cooperatives of Euskadi institutionally represents the Basque cooperative sector. Its missions include the defense and promotion of the basque cooperative movement, the provision information and technical advice, the training of cooperative members, leaders and technicians, the promotion of business inter-cooperation, the promotion of new cooperatives and the provision of various services to its associated cooperatives.

La Coopération Agricole is the single representative of French agricultural, agri-food, agro-industry and forestry cooperatives in France.

La Coopération Agricole Nouvelle-Aquitaine concretely represents the Nouvelle Aquitaine region, the leading agricultural region in Europe, with 4 million ha and 83,000 farms,

Coopération Agricole Nouvelle-Aquitaine is the leading regional player with 40% of turnover (11.2 billion euros in turnover), 270 cooperative companies (+150 subsidiaries +1700 CUMA), 23,000 employees and 63,000 cooperative farmers.

The service offer includes training and services such as promoting the cooperative model, helping the creation of cooperatives, defending the interests of cooperators, facilitating the day-to-day management and financing of cooperatives and supporting differentiation and innovation.

Association of European Regions for Products of Origin – AREPO

AREPO is a network of regions and producer associations that deals with products of origin.
AREPO aims to promote and defend the interests of producers and consumers of European regions involved in the valorization of quality food products.

The network was created in May 2004 in Bordeaux by 16 regions from 6 European countries. It now represents 27 European regions and more than 400 producer associations and more than 40% of the European geographical indications.

Limoges and Haute-Vienne Chamber of Commerce and Industry

The ICC of Limoges and Haute-Vienne is a public entity of the French State, supervised by the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry.

Its mission is to represent the general interests of the commercial, industrial and service sector of the Haute-Vienne region, which has 14,951 companies and employs 63,000 people.

CCI de Limoges and Haute-Vienne has 140 agents spread over different sectors of activity and a budget of 15 million euros. It provides services such as advice to entrepreneurs and companies, creation and management of training centers and creation and management of equipment.

PORTUGAL

National Confederation of Agricultural and Agricultural Credit Cooperatives of Portugal — CONFAGRI

The Confederação Nacional de Cooperativas has among its purposes to represent the Portuguese agricultural cooperatives before the Portuguese and European administration.

CONFAGRI works with approximately 300 Portuguese agricultural organizations (cooperatives, agricultural associations and mutual agricultural banks), supporting them in the implementation of different services for their associated farmers, in different areas such as PAC, training and advice.

Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro — UTAD

The Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD) is dedicated to teaching and researching and is organized in 5 schools: Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences, Human and Social Sciences, Sciences and Technology, Life Sciences and Environment and Higher Nursing. The permanent teaching body is made up of about 530 professors (the majority PhD holders) and 500 administrative technicians.

UTAD offers 37 1st cycle courses, 60 2nd cycle courses and more than a dozen doctoral studies, and has about 7,500 students. Research activities are concentrated in 8 research centers: Center for Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Center for Research and Agro-environmental Technologies and Biological Sciences, Center for Transdisciplinary Studies for Development, Center for Literature Studies, Center for Chemistry, Center for the Study of Mathematics and Center for Sports, Health and Human Development. The Research Units welcome researchers from other institutions in Portugal and abroad.
